Heres a pretty fun one, no there isn't a loose lucy, we can all be thankful. The Download Series release #10. It is the entire 7/21 show with a snippet of 7/22 from the same location. I don't know the entire release like the back of my hand, but from what I do know, its quite solid. The mexicali is well exectued. The BIODTL starts off horribly but you can't help but laugh and enjoy it, the rest is well played. My favorite gem is The Other One which clocks in at just over 22 minutes. It starts after a near 6 minute drums jam. I plan on playing pieces of this TOO outside the house for Halloween, some great scary jerry. The china > rider is included in the group of great 1972 china > riders, there are many. The GDTRFB is quite nice as well.

There are two excellent playin in the bands on this release. I prefer 7/22 over 7/21 but both are two of my favorites. Check out 6:50-7:25 into the 7/21 version. Just watch out for donna's screech at the end, its far more painful than 7/22. Definitely hear both of these, but 7/22 if you only want one.

The Bird Song from 7/22 is a bit lackluster, or at least not up to par with some of the better versions from this fine year. The Morning Dew is a pretty solid version, certainly no slouch, but not the top dog in the year of Morning Dew.

Oh yea, Billy sounds excellent in this mix, his symbols are extra clear.

Anybody out there enjoy this release? What do you like about it? Don't like?

If you like this check out 7/26, some hilarious banter included. 7/22's Dew is played perfect to my ears, one of my favorites from any year.

Thanks I'll check that out.

And you're right, its a very good dew, but it just seems less great being surrounded by the others that came after, like 9/21, 10/18, 11/13 and 12/31

Not to derail your topic, but if someone was really good with audio editing software, they could make a looped track of Donna's screeches and wails for Halloween. That would scare the pants of most anyone!

What a sinister idea! My good friend edits video for a living so whipping that up should be no problem. Who wants a copy? lmao.

Me, me, me. And see if he can drop in a Raven Space to give my old e-drums a moment's respite.

I agree with you about the music, WD. I just wish the sound were better on this one. I happened to be listening to the 7-22 tracks the other day after the E72 box, and what a step down sound-wise! The frequency range is iffy even in comparison to the Fall 72 release. But yes, the music's great as far as I remember it.
